We have also found that AOL firewall/antivirus, McAfee & Norton software can cause some applications not to work while all other Security software works fine.

 

You could try reducing the security level of these applications or simply disable them as they generally cause more trouble than thay cure. McAfee seriously reduces the overall performance of your PC, simply uninstalling it will see your PC increase its speed by an average of 50%.

 
You can also decrease the Privacy & Security Level on your PC by running Windows Explorer:  Select Tools > Internet Options >Privacy
